Welcome Lunar New Year 2018 at Cham Culture Exhibition Centre - (17/01/2018)

( On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2018, Cham Culture Exhibition Centre of Binh Thuan province will organize many Cham folk cultural activities to serve local people and visitors.

With significance of creating jubilant atmosphere for Mau Tuat Spring 2018 and attracting visitors and local people come to entertain on Tet holidays as well as advertising, introducing intangible and tangible cutural values of ethic Cham, a lot of atractive tourism activities will be held from 17th Febuary to 18th February 2016 ( 2nd day and 3rd day of Lunar New Year) at The Cham cultural Exhibition Centre. Along with the objects on display, visitors will be introduced about 953 objects that have high historical values. Besides that, tourists will see light decoration at the main place to worship and offer incense to Siva.
Visitors will have the chance to see and study two traditional crafts of ethnic Cham:  weaving and pottery. Famous artists will directly perform and introduce origin and mean of these traditional jobs. Visitors will be taught how to make pottery and textiles. Artist will mark the products made by tourists, then give them back to visitors as souvenirs. Besides, tour guides of the Cham Cultural Exhibition Centre can help visitors visit historical cultural heritage at Po Klaong temple to see the collection of treasures of Cham Manai royal (the 17th century) in Tinh My village, Phan Thanh commune.

In addition, visitors will get interesting experiences with “the 9th contest of improving skills of making traditional weaving” , the Singing Folk Festival and the performances of traditional costumes of ethnic Cham with the theme of “Giai dieu mua xuan” and enjoy special dishes of Kinh people, Cham people, Hoa people in Bac Binh district.
Coming to Bac Binh district on this occasion , visitors will have chances to join folk games with prizes like: blind man’s buff, obstacle games, etc. All visitors who love Cham culture are welcomed to visit and enjoy the thematic activities at Binh Thuan’s Cham Culture Exhibition Centre, Song Mao Junction, Phan Hiep Commune, Bac Binh District.
