The Cham Cultural Exhibition Center to open the spring festival 2019 - (13/02/2019)

( On the morning of February 6th, 2019 (the second day of the Lunar New Year), the Cham Culture Exhibition Center (Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province) held a spring festival of the theme "Celebrating the Party - Celebrating the Spring of the Lunar New Year 2019". Attending to the meeting, there were Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – Miss Nguyen Lan Ngoc.

With the meaning of promoting and introducing the tangible and intangible cultural values of the Cham people and contributing to the preservation and promotion of the values of traditional cultural heritage, the activities of the spring festival aims to  the demand of local people and tourists for traveling on Tet holiday.

The opening ceremony started with the Cham folk art program performed by actors and artists of Hoa Nang’s group. Following the opening ceremony were the booths which was officially operated to serve visitors. Those were the booths to introduce local cuisine of 3 ethnic groups of Cham, Kinh and Hoa with unique dishes such as Banh Duc,Kho Nhuc, Vit Dam... Attracting the interest of visitors was the performance of traditional ceramic and weaving. Spring festival at Cham Cultural Exhibition Center also had a folk music and dance festival and the performance of Cham traditional costumes, especially costumes during the festive season and New Year.

Visiting and experiencing the spring festival at the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (the second day and third day of the Lunar New Year), visitors also contemplated the original exhibits which are very valuable about the history and culture, seeing the exhibition of 22 paintings, pottery statues made by Cham artist – Mrs. Dang Dang Tho, visiting Cham historical - cultural relics such as Po Klaong Manai temple (Luong Son town), Po Anit temple (Phan Hiep commune) and seeing collection Cham royal family (Phan Thanh commune).
