Phan Thiet welcomes the Halloween - (01/11/2018) In these days, the atmosphere of the Halloween has been filled up on overall streets of Phan Thiet city; especially, the most clearness is at the costume selling stores for the Halloween like the supermarkets, the bookstores, the resorts or restaurants in the coastal city of Phan Thiet.

Together with the rapid increase in the numbers of international tourists coming to Mui Ne for their stays and relaxation, the Halloween has gradually become the holiday that many young people of Phan Thiet city cheerfully accepted. On the morning of October 25th (Still having 6 days left to the Halloween) at Phuong Nam bookstore was very jubilant atmosphere. Not only at Phuong Nam bookstore, but also at the bookstores in the Coop Mart and Lotte Mart, the products that serve for the Halloween are also extremely numerous and bring thrilling colors such as: mask, skull, fake blood, fake swords, wide range of costumes  from ghosts to the cartoon character, black spider.

Accordingly, the values of the decorating things and costume that many people use for the Halloween are very diverse and flexible such as: demon mask (20.000VND - 50.000 VND), rubber mask (20.000 VND - 30,000 VND), witch costume and other thrilling clothes (140.000 VND - 250000 VND), wigs (about 50,000 VND), pumpkin hat (about 30.000 VND - 50.000 VND), spider (depending on sizes will have the prize from few dozen to hundred VND). Buyers are mostly the young people, they like the colorful products, the more terrifying things the more they are interesting. According to the staffs of Phuong Nam bookstore, besides children, in recent years, many resorts in Mui Ne have also had needs of shopping to decorate and serve the international tourists. Thus, it makes the Halloween toys in Phan Thiet more bustling.

At the hotels and resorts in Ham Tien - Mui Ne, most of them are preparing for the Halloween to serve international tourists with carnival, art performance program, the buffet in European – Asian style. At My Wu bakery (Thu Khoa Huan street), the young people are also awaiting for the Halloween that will be taken place on the evening of 31/10 with the carnival and the very distinct menu of food drinks for the Halloween.

The Halloween was originated from European countries, although it is not a native festival but it is more and more popular among the young people. For European countries and the US, the Halloween has become an annual festive for both children and adults. Traditional Halloween’s costumes are formed from the fictional characters such as monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches. Currently, the activities of the Halloween have no longer carried the religious meanings, everyone has considered it as a normal festival and it has become gradually popular in Vietnam, the young people accepted it as an interesting festival for themseleves.
